About Love is Love YPCThe Love is Love Youth Pride Conference is an initiative started by two former Lambrick Park High School students who felt that local youth in the Greater Victoria area deserved and needed a safe event to celebrate themselves. The conference is focused on youth empowerment and education. The titular theme "Love is Love" embodies more than just the stereotypical romantic love and represents the need to recognize everyone as equal. The goal was to have an event that was a safe place for youth of the LGBTQIA+ community and allies alike to celebrate their pride in who they are. After one successful conference, we have expanded our goal to establish a continuous system that ensures the Love is Love YPC will happen each year, and to ultimately expand to include other regions as well.

Who We Are |
Our names are Caitlin Doherty and Matt Treble. We organized the original Love is Love YPC and are now hoping to see it expand out to others, so the event can flourish and prosper with other people's influence.

Our History |
In 2014, we resurrected the Lambrick Park Gender-Sexuality Alliance and wanted to organize some form of event for our local community. The conference was held on April 27th, 2015, and was attended by over 100 local youth as well as teachers, and district representatives.
